 The following are trees that may be available from most  Nurseries or Tree wholesalers that are not the best idea for typical backyard  subdivision planting and you will likely regret soon after planting - The reason why is provided.

Siberian/chinese Elm.  Worst tree ever.  weak limbed = drops branches - spreads seedlings everywhere - especially against fences. comes up from roots

Manitoba Maple -  Tree that becomes weak with poor form as it gets older - out competes other trees

Horse Chestnut - Trunk susceptible to splitting. weak branches.  Leaves susceptible to blight. non edible chestnuts

Silver Maple- Becomes very large weak branched tree susceptible to heart rot.  Problem surface roots

Black Walnut - Walnut seeds  stain clothes. really litter yard .  Attracts squirrels.  Produces toxin that limits garden vigor

Butternut - Will get Butternut Canker that is fatal

Red Pine - Needs sandier soil than most backyards have.

American Elm - Will get Dutch Elm Disease that is fatal.

All Ashes.  will get Emerald Ash Borer that is fatal.

Black Locust - Nasty thorns

Tree of Heaven - Very weak tree

Red Oak - Generally needs sandier soils than most backyards have.

Corkscrew Willow - Weak very fast growing tree - most people regret planting this tree within  a few years

Poplars  and cottonwoods- susceptible to disease  and weak branched. do not do well in competition

Canada Plum - most people disappointed in appearance of tree  - weedy looking

Scots Pine - needs full sun - poor form tree with age and has scraggly canopy 

Pear trees, Apple Trees, Plum trees - Wasps, Wasps, Wasps attracted to fallen fruit.  wasps present from Late August until first good frost - limited use of backyard
